For your child
Our child centered, developmentally appropriate activities are interactive and playful. We offer morning and afternoon sessions. Our hands-on, fun and meaningful daily activities allow all children to experience:
Language, reading, writing, math, music, art, science, visual/performing arts and weekly cooking.
Teachers individualize instruction to support your child at their current level of development. Our staff are trained to support your child at his level and enrich language, thinking skills and up social interactions so all children are successful and gain the necessary skills to succeed and thrive in elementary school.
We use a combination of the High Scope Preschool curriculum and research based strategies and practices that align with the California Preschool Curriculum Frameworks. We integrate our curriculum with theme based instruction that reflect your child’s interests and development. Our themes will include: All About Me; Fall; Winter; Community Helpers; Transportation; Ocean; Animals and nursery rhymes and Fairy Tales.
Parenting is one of the toughest jobs around with little support or guidebooks. We provide 4 home visits to families enrolled in our preschool program. We will help you use every day routines and activities to develop math, reading, language and thinking skills or support you in handling those behavior challenges.
For the community
We offer free parent education classes that cover a wide range of topics. The topics will range from enriching language, play and developing reasoning skills to setting limits.
We meet the second Wednesday of every month at First Presbyterian Church in Wilson Hall at 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Please contact us so we can arrange babysitting if necessary. We start our parent education series in September.
